We
live in a world that
rarely accepts verbal
agreements. We have
a vendor whereby you
can check stock, receive
pricing, ask details
by telephone but if
you want to place an
order will only accept
them faxed or emailed,
the want hard evidence.
In
the world created by
God, the only acceptance
He gives is from a verbal
confession that Jesus
is Lord that comes from
a heart that only God
knows has the true motivation
and belief.
"For
it is by grace you have
been saved, through
faith - and this not
from yourselves, it
is the gift of God -
not by works, so that
no one can boast."
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
The
only advocate we will
have when we stand before
God is Jesus Christ.
He will stand in the
gap between us and the
Father. He will claim
us as His own, and this
relationship comes from
the agreement that you
will enter into by your
own confession of needing
a Saviour.
