the valley of death,
I will fear no evil,

I
DON'T FEEL LIKE IT
When
we are in the valleys
of life we have a hard
time seeing the mountain
tops. We tend to only
look horizontally ignoring
the vertical relationship
between ourselves and
God. We can't see over
obstacles, we only see
the fog and haze of
our self-pity, guilt
or shame, we only see
things one dimensionally.
Yet
God promised that He
is with us -- we can't
feel Him because our
feelings betray us,
we can't sense Him because
we waver in our faith
like a cork on the waves
-- Still, He is there,
right there -- More
real than things we
can physically see,
more real than we can
even imagine.
The
question with eternal
ramifications is: Will
you allow yourself to
be comforted by this?
