IT'S
NOT ABOUT ME
They
give us the forecast
yet rarely are they
right or in control
of it. No matter my
desire, the sun continues
to rise every day in
the east, night falls
daily.
The
seasons change, the
leaves come and go the
wind blows where it
wishes, the rain and
snow falls whenever
and whereever it chooses.
The
wonder of the world
cannot honestly be captured
in pictures, it is spectacular
when viewed with the
naked eye but never
fully appreciated.
The
immensity and complexity
of the world should
overwhelm us yet in
my own little world,
the box I've created,
I think it's all about
me until God reminds
me that He created me
for His glory, that
I need to take my eyes
off of me and look to
the One who formed me,
who predestined me,
who designed me for
the mission in life
to share His love and
hope.
And
so may the inward man
change yet again to
show an outward expression
of the Loving Lord God
.
