August 5, 2010 - Devotional: No Use Hiding

"Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, 'Where are you?'"
(Genesis 3:8-9)

NO USE HIDING

God is walking in the garden of your life and wants to meet with you, share with you, desiring an intimate walk together that will bind you together with ties that are reinforced with a love that cannot be broken... yet we hide, we cower behind the bushes thinking He can't see us or hear our ragged breathing and the pounding of our hearts that threaten to break our own eardrums.

He hesitates where we are giving us the chance to shout out, "wait God, my Lord don't leave me, I need You desperately, please stay with me!

He won't force His way into your life but He will keep showing up, sometimes when you least expect Him or want Him, but He will keep showing up until you realize He is all you really need, and finally ask Him back. No sin is too great that He won't forgive, no offense is so foul that His grace won't cover it.

Rejoice in the Lord Always!
